Brought my eldest tutee to a seminar ytd. It's an introductory seminar actually. Taught us how to empower ourselves & excel in studies. Not bad hor? This tutor here. So nice. Bring tutee to such seminars. LOL. So thick-skinned,u'll say.
Anyway,tutee & i reached there very early. HEH. Nobody there yet. Only a few quite shuai receptionists. LOL. So one of them gave me a form to fill in. And another asked me(pointing to my tutee),"Is she ur sister?" i smiled & replied,"Oh!No,she's my tuition kid." Ha. Im so GLAD that the receptionist din think of me as my tutee's mother. im NOT kidding. A few yrs back,this muz-be-sth-wrong-wif-her-eyes woman(who looked as young as me)approached me to invite me to go to her organisation's xmas party(she's a stranger btw,i dunno her)and that time my tutee was wif me. She actually thot my tutee was my DAUGHTER. Wat the heck. Do i look that old to her? She actually asked,"R u interested in bringing ur daughter to our organisation's xmas party?" I said "NO!" & stared at her. ha. Anyway,it's history liao.
Okie,so back to the topic. It was still early & the receptionist said the door will only open at 3pm,so we went to walk-walk at the nearby tanjong pagar plaza. I think my Pri6 tutee is a lil bit like the frog-in-the-well---keep asking me this & that,like wat is this place? where is this place? office area is full of offices but how come got some hdb flats here? residential area only got residential buildings ar? And the list goes on and on and on.....*yawns* it's a chore answering her qns man. i seriously think she needs to come out of her cage(i mean,house)MORE OFTEN.
And so,at 3pm we went back for the seminar. At 1st i was afraid Tutee would be bored or simply not interested in it. Coz b4 she went,she was lamenting,"HUH?!Muz sit there for 2 hrs listen to them talk ar?Haiz" BUT,luckily,the speaker was INTERESTING.He's Adam Khoo.Heard of him?The self-made millionaire who turned from a pri sch-dropout to one of the top students in Uni.His talk is really exciting & somewat funny la.My tutee laughed a lot.And very loud.And she even wrote down wat Adam Khoo said. Oh well,actually she saw me write then she write lo.Monkey see monkey do. But who cares? As long as she wrote sth & LEARNT sth. After the talk i asked her was the seminar boring? She happily shook her head & said NO. Then did u learn anything,i asked. She excitedly said,"YES!!! I will rewrite everything later. Jus now i wrote in a mess." Oh,this is great. I din waste my efforts in bringing her there. And i learnt some things myself too. Not bad,not bad.
And then,after the seminar,i brought Tutee to Chinatown to meet my mom.Wanted to see the CNY lightup lo. So many ppl. And i was surprised that the Nian Huo Shi Chang started doing business le.COOL.CNY.....im so looking forward to it! My PIG yr!!!!! Oink Oink. The ADORABLE pigs r coming to town! yeah yeah yeah!(this is so random,dun mind me,im jus EXXXXXXXXXCITED la)And i took some pics of the lion dance,the dragon and the Porky Pig performing.Too bad,shots not well-taken coz was at an awkward position lo.And i couldnt see the firecrackers from there.Owwww....so =(. But the sound of them gng off was really DEAFENING. Jus above us only. The underside of the bridge blocked our view lo. Enough said. Take a look.

And oh yeah,i've changed my 1st wish from "do well for last 4 modules" to "get A+ for all 4 modules". Coz,according to wat i've learnt from Adam Khoo's book,we MUZ set CLEAR goals. So,tada! That's my CLEAR goals! Yippee! And of course,MUZ take action la.
