Ok,as u can see,i've changed my blogskin again. Haha. Suits my new url,isnt it? LOL.
I AM THE COFFEE QUEEN.
And yeah,haven blog for 3 days. I've sth to blog abt but im jus too lazy to type. Heehee. Ok,i shall not be lazy today le.
Last wk,when i told ppl that im joining the education sector after i graduate,i received many many different responses. Some say "Good! Being a teacher is good!" whereas there were also ppl who shook their heads & asked me "Why do u wan to be a teacher? It's so stressful blah blah blah..." And one of them,whose sister is a teacher,told me in a serious tone,"Ru,listen to me.I've seen how stressed my sis is.There is always stiff competition among teachers.Everyone is trying to outfight one another to be promoted,and to be promoted,you haf to constantly upgrade urself and make sure your skills,knowledge & education level is always higher than the rest. Blah Blah Blah. U study civil engineering,why dun u work in this field? The demand for civil engineers is very high now. Blah Blah Blah."
Haiz.
U noe,i hear good & bad stuff abt teaching often. And one of the bad stuff that ppl said abt teaching is that,it does not pay well. Well,as compared to those private sector jobs. Yeah,i noe that. My frens who r working in the private sector most probably earn a much HIGHER starting salary than me. Even my mom was a bit influenced by wat ppl said. When i told her that some of my frens will be earning much much more than me next time,she asked "So how? Envious?"
Ahem. My answer to my mom's qn is a definite NO.
True,money is impt. And i am money-minded. I yearn to earn BIG BUCKS. I yearn to be able to own many many credit cards. BUT,to me,JOB SATISFACTION is more impt than $$$. Im telling the truth. I love the feeling of being able to impart my knowledge to students,i love the feeling of seeing my students excel in their studies or even just improve by only a little,i love the feeling of being respected by students. The list goes on & on. I rem not long ago my tutee learned to make a notebook himself in his art class and he gave it to me. It was not a special occasion but he gave me the notebook which he decorated himself. I was so touched by this sweet gesture of his. This is wat i call JOB SATISFACTION. He's not an academically inclined boy but he is talented in art. His sister told me that he did not even gif it to his mother. He chose to gif ME the notebook. U noe,the feeling is indescribable?
Yes,i noe not all students will be as sweet as my tutee,but i also believe that young ppl are kind by nature;no matter how naughty or bad some kids are,im sure we can find a good side of them. And that's one of the challenges that teachers haf to face. And i love such challenges.
And also ppl tell me teaching is a psychologically-straining job. Yup,i noe. But to me,a 9-to-5 office job is a boring & less interesting job. (no offence to frens who r working in offices hor.=P )It pays well but i prefer psychological to monetary rewards la. And who says i cant earn a lot by teaching? I am prepared to upgrade myself(can improve my OWN skills also wat,not just for the sake of teaching students)and i aspire to be a HOD,and then finally a principal. Along the way i haf to work very hard but hey! Every job requires ppl to work hard wat. U dun haf to work hard to get promotions meh? And then,when i become HOD or principal,wont i be very rich liao?
MY MIND IS SET. Nothing can stop me from being a teacher. Not even $$$. Not even my mom(whose words i usually & always listen to). Not even those pesky kids as well,or their over-protective & dare-to-complain-abt-teachers parents.
Try me.
I may not be monetarily rich next time but i will be spiritually rich.

WOW.
I jus went to watch my THIRD movie for the week today. Heh. I practically watched one movie every two days. LOL. 20th,22nd & 24th. Woohoo. Went to watch The Twins Mission jus now at Shaw Lido wif my cousin. Ooh lala,a BIG thanks to my dearest cousin for treating me to movie. *muack*
So after movie,we went to Wisma Isetan to shop. And then to Orchard Popular. Then home sweet home. Saw the Chingay parade performers arriving at Orchard while i was waiting for my bus. So many ppl.
Saw the smoke from the Chingay fireworks. Haiz. Why are the buildings in Orchard so tall? This particular building blocked my view from the fireworks. Or else i would be able to see the fireworks from my windows de. Heh.
Argh. SIAN. Dunno wat to blog abt alr. Maybe i go study bah. Hoho.
The 1 wk break is for me to catch up on my studies de.

Tuition tml at 11am. Heh. My tutees having their CA1 lo. Luckily,only 2 of them have CA1. My eldest tutee asked me ytd why i dun seem nervous abt their CA. Heh. Why shld i? Oops. No la,not that im irresponsible or wat. Jus that i dun wan them to feel stressed if i appear nervous to them. And i think they have improved a lot,so i shld not be worrying much. CA1 only mah. Dun stress them too much la. And it's still the festive period,man! LOL.
Take it easy. SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE la.
p/s. i have been preparing mock exam papers for them anyway. Tml is the mock exam day for them. Ahaha.

Yoohoo~!!!!!
My 1 wk break aka recess has officially begun! Haha. Actually,it began ytd. I have an 8.30am lesson every Fri but i PON SCH TODAY!!!!!!!!! LOL.
Anyway,so tired ytd. Went to sch for my Sociology test. After that,had lunch wif Huijun in sch. Jap food. Yum yum. Then we set off to JP GV to watch movie - Ghostrider. Not bad la,the movie. But my idol's movie - JUST FOLLOW LAW - best of all! Must watch it okie?
Right,after movie,Huijun had to meet her fren at 5pm,so we left immediately. I went home,wanted to blog but dunno wat to blog abt. And then after that at 7pm had to go out for dinner. Went for dinner wif my mom's ex-tuition kids who are all grown-ups now liao,older than me by 12 yrs. 5 women. One of them is my cousin aka tang2 jie3. The 5 of them have been frens for more than 2 decades and their frenship is still flourishing. I heard that they always meet up at one another's house to play mahjong every wkend. Even their husbands have become good frens and also their kids. How i envy them! Hope my frenships wif my frens will continue to grow stronger & stronger,just like my cousin & her frens! Yeah! =D Ok,back to the topic. So,every yr,these 5 zhu(pig)jie jie will come to my hse to bai nian and then we will go out for dinner. However,due to time constraints,this yr they didnt come to my hse. =( We just went out for dinner straightaway. And their kids also didnt go for the dinner. Awww..... i missed them! The kids are all very adorable la. I played with them b4. Think long time no see,the kids must haf forgotten abt this jiejie over here le. =( Anyway,we still had an ejoyable dinner la. So humorous,my tang2 jie3 fu1. He was telling me abt the joy & stress of teaching(he taught in ITE b4)and how he failed his driving test 10 times! LOL. 6 times for driving car & 4 for bike. So funny la,the way he talked. We all laughed at him. Even his wife aka my tang jie laughed at him. And so i listened to them talk & talk & talk(their conversation is so....interesting okie!)and then finally we went home. Some of them didnt need to work today,so they went to my cousin's hse to play mahjong. AGAIN. Heard that they played mahjong on the 2nd & 3rd day of CNY also. Awwwww. I wanna learn leh! Every yr,i haf been telling the zhu jie jie to teach me how to play but until now,still haven learn. Aiyo. Btw,i call them zhu jie jie coz they are all born in the yr of the PIG,same as me! heehee.
Ok,gotta go. I hear thunder. Oops,rain liao. Heavy rain. And i caught a cold again! Argh.

Yeah!
I jus went to catch the movie JUST FOLLOW LAW. My idol's movie! =D NICE! HILARIOUS! FANN-TASTIC! im so looking forward to the release of the VCD now.....ooh lala. i will definitely buy it when it's out! Made me laugh & laugh & laugh & some parts were touching as well. Wanted to cry along.
Anyway,my cousin's family came in the morning. My nephew is the THIRD person to ask me "You got bf?" -.- Tsk. Typical qn to ask. The relatives ALWAYS ask me this qn EVERY YEAR. Sorrie to disappoint u ppl. LOL. Esp my nephew,who said he's looking forward to attending wedding dinners & he has alr asked me to reserve him the FIRST CLASS TABLE for my wedding. Ok,nephew. If i still rem this N yrs down the road. LOL.
Anyway,after my cousin & his family left,we pia to my big aunt's hse. Coz we were kinda late. Told her that we would reach there ard 1230 but we ended up leaving the hse at 1230. Ha. And wat the ..... My new shoes cut me. I have 2 cuts on my heels. So painful. I have alr bit the shoes b4 wearing but they still cut me. Humph. And so i had to get 2 plasters from my aunt. Then after we left her hse,mum bought me a new pair of sandals immediately. And i wore them on the spot. Cannot tahan la. Even after putting on plasters,my heels still hurt.
After leaving Bishan,we headed to Lot 1 to watch movie. I saw this nice top at IP zone & bought it. Heehee. Mum shook her head,saying that i am still buying new shoes & new clothes at the start of the new yr. The top is so popular. At the cinema i actually saw 2 girls wearing it! So qiao! I only bought it a while ago & i alr saw ppl having the same top. Planning to wear it this coming Sat to Sentosa! Yeah! i hope the Sentosa outing will still be on. i wanna see the flowers!
Uh oh. Sociology test this thurs. And and i haven start studying! =X
I shall not be lazy.

It's alr the 2nd day of CNY! How's everyone's CNY so far? Hope u guys have collected lots of angbaos! And still counting,of course! =D
Hmm....lalala....i went to Si Ma Lu temple to pray this morning,then went to my 2nd uncle's hse,2nd aunt's hse and home sweet home. So tired! 1hr journey from my 2nd uncle's hse to my 2nd aunt's hse. One in SENGKANG(and furthest end of Sengkang somemore),the other one in Redhill. Fell asleep in the train. Zzz. And i woke up feeling so refreshed.
And now im back at home blogging. Just bought KFC! Yeah! Yum yum yum. But i haven start eating yet. Mum's so tired that she's sleeping now first.
Okie,i took some more pics today again. Haiz. I look so FAT. Gonna jian fei. Muz start exercising liao. Been procrastinating.

Zzz. Im so sleepy now. Feeling drowsy coz i took the flu medicine. Ya,i caught a cold AGAIN. Muz be the dust lo. Busy spring-cleaning ytd and today morning. And actually,im still not done wif the cleaning. Heehee. Certain parts of my hse r still,erm,covered wif dust. *ah-choo!*
Anyway,im feeling very bored oso. Cant go to sleep coz it's not nice. There r relatives in my hse. As usual,my 4th aunt's family & 2nd aunt's children and grandchildren(my biao ge & their kids-->all boys,btw)came today. My biao ges,their wives & my nephews r all still here. Watching a korean show now while im in the guest rm,blogging. Very entertaining host hor? Haha. This runny nose makes me uncomfortable la...cant entertain them. Weird. For the past few yrs,my younger nephews would run round my hse,playing on their own but this yr,they r all sitting quietly on the sofa. Hmm. Weird weird. That's why my hse is ultra quiet today now. No noise of kids playing. Kinda miss the noise leh.

Every yr during CNY we would buy KFC for my 4th aunt's family for lunch,but this yr we didnt. Coz the queues at KFC were all so LONG. Wow. Reached there,saw how long the queues were and i wasnt interested to buy alr. Heh. So sad,no coleslaw to eat this CNY. And oh,this is strange. A few shops were actually open today. Hmm,i thot no shops would open for business today??? Anyway,to my surprise,the boutique shop Wanko was opened. YEAH! I havent buy my tights yet,was still thinking how good it would be if any boutique shop was open. And tada! There was! Think im gng to hunt for a pair of tights later! LOL. Last minute shopping for CNY clothes. Hope there's time to go out shopping la. I need to go bai nian in the evening too.

Bleh.
So silly...of all times,why must the sch implement the Academic Mentoring Scheme starting this semester? According to this scheme,all students are supposed to meet up with their mentor(who is one of the professors in sch). DUH. Meet for wat? Okie,i admit,meeting the mentor in ur early yrs of Uni is good,coz u will noe wat path u r heading to in Uni and wat to expect in later yrs. But im alr in Yr 4 liao lo.....DUH. Why didnt they implement this scheme earlier? Ok,actually they did implement this mentor-student thingy as soon as we entered Uni but they didnt make it compulsory. NOW then they make it compulsory. Heh.
I seriously dunno why i need to see the mentor(i've NOTHING to ask the mentor!),but still,since it's compulsory now liao,i haf to go. And i think im meeting my mentor later. ASAP. Get it over and done with. Boo!

Some ppl r just so absurd.

Wat the heck la,you. I asked you last fri,9th of Feb,whether 3rdMarch is ok wif u for the steamboat,you said OK and that's it. No further comments from u.
Earlier this week,i've alr confirmed wif the rest abt steamboat gathering on 3rdMarch and they said OK also.
Then,today,15th of Feb(SIX days after u said OK to 3rd March),u asked me can bring the steamboat date forward? Ur reason being 3rd March is like nearing the end of CNY,got no mood. Wat the heck. Ppl celebrate CNY for 15 days,and on the last day itself,we still haf fireworks being set off. U tell me no mood? And pls,mood is for us to create. LAME reason. And i was seriously NOT angry in the first place. If u think i was,then i cant help it. U can think in any way u wan. And in my 2nd sms,i said that the rest r fine wif 3rd March,dun complicate matters. Why did i say dun complicate matters? Coz u never noe if others will be free on other days anot. Mayb they haf alr set 3rd March free for the steamboat and so plan other events on earlier days. If we change the date,it may affect others' plans. I had NO INTENTION to make u angry or scold or lecture u. WHY ON EARTH DID U REPLY "K la K la..In future,i just keep my mouth shut.. Dun ask for my comment."
HELLO! Since when did i ask for ur comment today????? Did i ask u to comment abt the steamboat TODAY???? U r free to suggest dates for the steamboat,but why didnt u do that earlier? For eg,last Fri? The first time i asked u? When everything has been settled,then u gave ur comment. DUH. And pls,it's not that ur comments r not welcome. 1)PIGS r not stupid! Those who say that pigs r stupid r stupid themselves!-->i didnt say this. It is clearly stated in the news article. Hehe. In fact,according to scientists,pigs r CLEVERER than dogs and cows! Woohoo~
2)Pigs do not sweat.
3)Pigs dirty? NAHHHHHHHHHH. Pigs dump themselves into the mud so as to reduce their body temperature and get rid of any fleas on their bodies. SEE? Pigs r SMART.
4)Pigsty is messy? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO lo. Scientists discovered that pigs r sensitive to their environment. If there is large space in the pigsty,pigs will make sure the respective areas for passing motion,eating and sleeping r allocated properly okay!
5)Pigs r in fact,AS GREEDY AS humans. Becoz pigs do not haf 2 stomachs like the cow and sheep,so they cannot survive on vegetables alone. Since they haf to "fight" with humans for food,that's why they r always spotted digging or searching for food in order to maintain a healthy weight.
See see see? Pigs haf been wrongly accused everytime. Humph!

Hmm...went to my tutee's sch website and saw her class photo. So cute,the lil p1 kids. Where's my tutee??? Nor...the one circled in pink.(i realised that the pink circle cant be seen. Anyway,look at where the arrow is pointing at.) She's my youngest tutee. A Scorpio,like me. Fierce lil gal,but can be very sweet & adorable at times. Very helpful too. I can still rem the sheepish look on her face when she asked me this last wk - "Jie Jie!" and then "Oops. Wo ke yi jiao ni jie jie ma?" Haha. Coz she calls me "Tuition teacher" aka "Bu Xi Lao Shi" everytime. Then suddenly she called me Jiejie so she thot i would mind. Nah. i prefer them calling me Jiejie. =P

My mom got cheated of 100 bucks today. 100 BUCKS. Wat the heck.
I saw my mom hand the 2 50dollar notes to the lady boss and i thot i rem seeing the lady boss took the money from my mom. And then she continued writing on the receipt. Then we talked & settled the details abt arranging electricians to fix the lights for us. Then we left.
And a few mins after we left the shop,the lady boss called me to say that my mom didnt give her the 100 bucks. We were very sure my mom gave it to her!!!!! And my mom knew how many 50dollar notes she had in her wallet. She had indeed 100 bucks missing from her wallet,so that meant she had really given it to the lady boss. Wat the heck la. The lady boss claimed she didnt receive it and even poured out everything from her own bag,proving that she didnt take the money. (Mayb she put it in the drawer leh?????) And we(the lady boss,her male helper,her maid,my mom & i)looked ard to see if the money had flown onto the floor,but to no avail. Wah lau. Anyway my mom,being a righteous person,gave the lady boss another 100 bucks lo. While we were leaving the lady boss said,"if i find the money i call u back." Holy cow. U think we believe her?
100 bucks leh! My mom so xin1 tong4. She later told me,"Treat it as a lesson." Tsk. Expensive lesson.
WE ARE DEFINITELY NOT BUYING ANYTHING FROM THAT ELECTRICAL SHOP ANYMORE.
One day,i shall tarnish the shop's reputation. Wait & see.

Hmm.
Recently,i am "disturbed" by affairs of the heart. BUT,they r NOT my affairs. They r other ppl's affairs.
How shld i start? Hmm...okie. Let me go back to the past. Not long ago,my friends & i were talking abt BGR. Then this friend,K,asked me "(my name),how ar? how? When u see ur frens all attached liao & u r not,how u feel ar?"
In response to my fren's qn,i personally feel that it's okie de lo. Why be envious or jealous over the fact that most of ur frens r attached whereas u r not? Yeah,i must admit that MY mum is anxious abt me(mum is desperately trying to marry me off,i think)but frankly speaking,it's not that im not anxious(neither am i desperate okay!)but i seriously believe THE ONE is not here yet. THE ONE for me has not appeared YET la. And to those of my frens(esp the one who has a crush on ur colleague),THE ONE for u may not haf appeared yet oso. HE may not be the one for u,u noe. True,we may not be getting younger,but we r not THAT old too right? U can meet one very nice guy right now,he loves u & u love him. But ultimately,he may not be ur husband right? This kind of thing,muz look at destiny de. Yuan2 fen4. THE ONE is somewhere out there;it's only a matter of TIME when u r gonna meet him. Mayb all this while,u think this particular guy is THE ONE but one day,u may just suddenly bump into the correct THE ONE lo. And then u will need to forget abt the previously-thought-to-be THE ONE.
That time,my friend K and the other frens oso said this - "there r 101(or 1001? i cant rem)signs that u think came from God who told u that it's this guy. But actually the signs came from U urself." Dun understand? Well,there can be many sweet or nice happenings that occurred between u & a guy(whom u may like)and u think these r signs telling u this guy & u r fated to be together. In actual fact,the meaning of those signs stem from ur own personal desires/feelings that u wan him & u to be together. Sounds cruel but sometimes,it's true. Sometimes he's ultra nice to u,sometimes he's super bad to u. Wat does this mean? It doesnt mean anything la. If u(im NOT referring to anyone in particular)think/suspect/sense someone likes u,just ask him/her la. But only if u SERIOUSLY like that person. If u only haf a crush on him/her(in my opinion,a crush is not = to ur lifelong partner),then dun bother to ask. When i suggested to my fren that she shld tell the guy that she likes him,she rebutted me,saying "then why u dun tell _______ that u like him?" AHEM. That's coz i dun think ________ & i got chemistry enough to be future husband&wife la. LOL.
i wanna elaborate some more but Mum's rushing me off to makan liao.
Anyway,in conclusion,i jus wanna say this --- no need to envy other blissfully attached/married ppl okie? BELIEVE in the fact that THE ONE is somewhere out there.....probably on the way to meeting u liao but we dunno when. Can be soon,can be N yrs down the road. But who cares? As long as that day comes,& after which u 2 r blissfully married,the waiting doesnt matter anymore. But of course,i dun mean just sit back & relax & wait for THE ONE to appear. Must be active ourselves oso la. But NOT desperate-kind of active hor.

My eyelids r getting heavier & heavier.....but i need to help Mum edit her work stuff now. Owwww. But Mum has made a cuppa coffee for me alr. Awwww....Mum is the BEST.
After editing im gonna zzz soon. Guess i cant mug tonight le. Very very tired. Almost dozed off during tuition jus now. But i guess that's coz of the flu medicine la. Makes ppl drowsy. ZZZ. And this is the Nth time my tutees din learn their spelling. Stupid la.....i HATEdislike teaching spelling. No job satisfaction.
Im so looking forward to TUESDAY. Which is TOMORROW. Hurray! NO SCH FOR ME!!!!! =P

Oh man.
I've caught a cold AGAIN. Last Monday,i had a terrible cold. Now i haf it again. Duh. Whenever i wanna mug for my tests,i get a cold. :S
3 tests next wk and i've so much to do! Spring-cleaning & studying! Stressed stressed.
BUT,i will persevere.

Hi ppl! It's FEBRUARY alr!!!!! Yeah! 15 days left to the year of the Oink Oink!
Woosh. Had quite a busy day today. Mum vacuumed the whole hse's ceiling & upper part of the walls while i had to cover everything wif newspapers b4 she could do that. Otherwise the spider-webs(if there r)will drop onto the beds,the tables etc etc etc. And it was quite funny la. Mum vacuumed the living rm/dining rm 1st. So i covered the dining table wif newspapers. Then while she was at it,i went to cover my bed and desk wif newspapers. So after she was done wif the living rm,i re-used the newspapers there & went to cover everything in the study rm. So,basically,i was walking abt in the hse,carrying newspapers here & there and using them as protective covers. Then after Mum was done wif all the vacuuming,i helped to mop the whole hse. Phew! This is the 2nd time this wk that we mop the floor. Usually it was a once-a-wk routine. Argh. And i thot doing hse work could help me shed some weight. But much to my dismay,the extra X kg which i put on 3 wks ago is still inside my body. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Im so fuming mad wif the extra X kg of fats! I seriously need to lose that X kg b4 17th of Feb!!!!!! And this is not fair. Mum is losing weight while i am gaining. And im so worried that Mum has been losing weight. i hope she's alright. *prays hard*
Oh. B4 i forget. i heard this funny conversation in the lift jus now. I have translated the conversation from chinese to english.
Scenario:Me,a man and a couple(4 of us)took the lift from the ground floor,which is the 1st floor. I strongly believe the couple r not residents residing here. I presume they muz be sales ppl or surveyors. Anyway,i think the guy is really....erm......silly.
The couple got into the lift first. (i cant rem was it the girl or guy who pressed the button "2",but anyway,2nd floor was their destination and 1 of them pressed "2".)
Guy: *in quite an AMUSED tone* Hey,got 1st floor leh.
(upon hearing that,i was BEWILDERED. Did this guy come from outer space or kampong or some other 'ulu' place or does he live in a bungalow and has NEVER stepped into a lift b4?????? Fei4 hua4! Of course lifts got 1st floor la! DUH!)
Gal: 1st floor is where we took the lift from de mah!
(the gal is definitely SMARTER than her fren!)
Wah lau. i really wanna PENG when i heard wat that guy said. "hey got 1st floor leh!" Haiz. poor thing. he muz haf NEVER taken lifts/elevators b4. tsk tsk tsk.
u think im joking? i am seriously telling the truth. that guy really said that & i did not hear wrongly. i think they r working as surveyors/sales ppl/dunno-wat-la for the FIRST time. Coz they looked-lost-but-acting-as-if-they-noe-wat-to-do. Where got ppl start from the 2nd floor upwards de????? Dun ppl start from the highest floor and work downwards? Weird couple. i sincerely wish them all the best in watever they r doing but pls dun knock on my door.

Oh my gosh! i haven started on anything yet! studying,spring-cleaning etc etc etc. Oh well,if i mian3 qiang2 count A LITTLE BIT of studying as REAL studying la.
