Uh oh,im feeling so guilty now. Coz i went to print my lecture notes in the com lab and this gal was printing her FYP report at the same time. There wasn't any printing gng on then,so i thought she was done with her printing. And then when i brought my A4 papers to the printer,i realised her A4 papers were in the printer and it was printing MY notes out. Ahh! So i compensated her by giving her MY papers but she was like,so black-faced and so xian2 qi4 MY A4 paper. She asked me if MY A4 paper were smooth or not,coz hers was oh-so-smooth and she didnt want rougher paper to print her report. Wat a perfectionist la! DUH. She made me feel so guilty. Though she didnt want my paper at first,i made her accept it in the end coz i felt bad la. Aiya,actually she was partially at fault right? If u r not using the printer at that time,dun put your paper inside there mah. -.-

Phew! I got a C for my last Transport quiz. This Thurs having the 2nd quiz and im so aiming for an A. Ha. Wish me good luck! Been studying Transport for the past 2 wks,which is like,VERY slowwwwwwwww. Uh oh. I'd better hurry. 22 days left. Bleh.

To submit or not to submit?

Haiz. Im in a dilemma. I've handed in my Sociology assignment on time but it's too short. I only wrote 937 words,while the tutor wanted at least 1500. So most likely im gng to be penalised for insufficient content. I feel like submitting a 2nd draft and have alr asked the tutor if I could do that. And she replied that my 2nd draft would be penalised for late submission. Heh. Wat shld i do? Submit the 2nd draft or dont? Either way,i'll still be penalised.

Gal,do u noe that I am seriously very displeased with one attitude of yours? Why is it that,whenever u meet ur frens at a certain time at NTU canteen 13,you always ask ppl to give u a missed call when they have reached? Do u noe that,by doing that,u are implying asking ppl to WAIT FOR U? Who do u think u r? A QUEEN? VIP? U have arranged a time to meet someone,why cant u just reach the meeting place BY that time? Why do u always expect ppl to reach first,give u a missed call and only then would u come down? Do u noe that that is very RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL of u? U r not respecting ur frens by asking them to give u a missed call when they reached the meeting place. Why? Because we have to WAIT FOR U after we call u,wait for u to TAKE UR OWN SWEET TIME to come down. I DUN CARE how nearrrrrrrr ur room is to canteen 13;IT IS NOT A VALID EXCUSE TO ASK PPL TO GIVE U A MISSED CALL WHEN THEY REACHED!!!!! Wat's the point of arranging a specific meeting time when u dun come down BY that time? U may as well dun arrange a time la! Since u urself dun come down by that time. U only expect ppl to call u then u decide to come down. Wat the hell. U made me give u a missed call on 2 separate occasions when we met and i was smart enough to call u BEFORE i reached. However,even then,u were STILL late. According to wat i heard from others,if ppl dun give u a missed call or sms u to say they have reached,u wont even come down! Even though u haf arranged the time and was supposed to be there alr. DUH!!!!! Pls,if u still want ur frens,do respect them first.

FYI,tutee no 1 & 2 are siblings. So are tutee no 3 & 4. And the 2 pairs of siblings are cousins. I dunno how Unknown cousins no 1,2 & 3 are related to them. I mean,there can be all sorts of distant cousins right? Anyway,isnt Unknown cousin no 3 cute? He's the one who kept pilfering ppl's cake to eat. Because he's still young(i dunno how old he is,though),he wasn't given a slice of cake. And so he went ard the house pilfering other ppl's cake. So cute ok! When i was eating mine,he came over and looked at me. So i scooped a mouthful of my cake and offered him. He really came nearer,opened his mouth and i fed him that mouthful. He left a bit of it on the spoon and so my tutees challenged me to finish that small bit. (They thought i didnt dare to eat the boy's saliva) Haha. I did finish that small bit lo. Nvm la. Small boy only wat. And i dun mind eating a cute boy's saliva. LOL.

Bleh. Went to tutee's bday celebration last night. Ahhh~ i tasted a boy's saliva. Hoho. Nah.....the boy and i ate from the same scoop of cake. He's such a cute & mischievous & cuddly little boy! And oh,i took a picture of all the kids. Shall post that up when im at home.

I made a discovery this morning. And my mom and i were so SURPRISED over the discovery. I was reading this VOICES mag(community development council mag)and i saw a familiar face on one adv. I saw my sec sch maths private tutor's photo in the adv. OMG! He's so successful now! After i graduated from sec sch and thus did not need his coaching anymore,i learnt that he had opened a tuition centre in Bukit Merah. Throughout the years,i had not heard anything from him and i even thought his tuition centre had closed coz we could not see the centre when we went to that area. To my surprise,his tuition centre has grown to be an established and quite famous one. I jus went to the website and read his testimonial. WOW. I'm so inspired by him. My ex-tuition teacher leh! *beams*

Does anyone watch the channel 5 show Parental Guidance every thurs night? It's a super duper nice show!!!!! Good story,ADORABLE little kids(esp the youngest girl!) and humorous lines(tai2 ci2). I watched it for the first time last night and just caught the previous few episodes on Youtube. I LOVE it!!!!! Too bad i cant watch it on-the-spot anymore from next wk onwards due to tuition. :"(

Just came back from tuition. Taught tutee no 3 & 4 today. Haiz. Tutee no 3 is really really very ill-mannered. Noe what? When i went to teach his cousins ytd,he had the cheek to come up to me and asked,"Bu xi lao shi,do i haf a birthday present?" -.- Holy cow! How can someone ask for his/her present de? I had already bought his present few days ago,but since he was so rude to ask for it,I refused to answer his qn. I jus answered "Dunno". Then,just now,i gave him his present after tuition ended. He jus used his left hand to receive it and said only 1 word --- "Orh!" Wat the hell. Ppl gif u present,u dun even say thank you but just "Orh"????? The way he said that was like,it's only right and natural that i shld gif him a present. -.- BUT,i didnt get angry la. I merely said "Ppl gif u sth,wat shld u say?" And then he said "xie xie" with absolutely NO sincerity. -.- I said "Ee-yer.No sincerity de." Finally,he smiled and said "Xie xie bu xi lao shi!" (Frankly speaking,i dun think he said it with real sincerity la. Bet he was just acting.)

You see,who will like such a no-manners child? I tell ya,i dare admit that out of the 4 of them,he's the ONLY one i DISLIKE. Last night,he was scolded and beaten by his mother for bullying his sister. And i heard him cry. But he didnt cry for long la,just a few mins only. o.O Tough kid huh? And i tell ya,i was secretly laughing at him in my heart then. Xing4 zai1 le4 huo4. HA HA HA. Served him right for being scolded and beaten. LOL. Im mean? NOOOOOOOOOO lo. U come and see for urself how bad he is. And tutee no 1 & 2 actually sided with him?! They said that he is actually the one being bullied. He's the one being bullied by his younger sis,not the other way round. And Tutee no 1 even asked me to PITY him,saying that he's very pitiful,thinking that i will not be giving him present. Tutee no 1 said,"He's very sad and pitiful leh. Buy him a birthday present la." He's pitiful??? MY FOOT! But anyway,i had already bought him his present la and would definitely gif him. Im not that mean ok.

One day,if i really cannot stand the sickening kid anymore,i shall not teach him. Wait,i cannot gif up so easily hor??? Hmm....let's see first. There's a saying which goes sth like this --- 没有人的本性是坏的。Yaya,so.....hopefully ONE DAY he will turn good??? Haiz. Dunno la. 看着办吧！

Govt studying graduates' job data when reviewing civil service pay

SINGAPORE : The government is looking at the employment data of graduates when reviewing the salaries of civil servants.

Minister-in-Charge of Civil Service Teo Chee Hean said public sector pay will be adjusted after studying graduate employment surveys, such as the one just released by Singapore Management University (SMU).

That survey showed that the average starting salary of SMU graduates was 13 percent higher than their predecessors.

Civil servants' pay was last reviewed in 2000.

A tightening labour market had prompted a relook, as announced in parliament recently by Mr Teo.

But the upcoming adjustments are more than just attempts to keep public sector pay competitive.

It is also a move to lower resignation rates of civil servants, especially those at entry level, where one in four quit in 2006.

If the government decides to match public sector salary with the findings from SMU's survey, it will have to pay entry-level civil servants at least $2,850 a month.

That is the average starting pay of SMU graduates in 2006, which is 13 percent more than their 2005 counterparts.

The top 20 percent earners take home an average of $4,630.

"You can see the job market has indeed become very competitive. So we're looking at some of these data as well and see what kind of adjustments we need to make. I understand as well from the polytechnics, the graduates have been finding good employment. So that's at the entry level," said Minister Teo.

"At the mid-career level, we've seen the job market become much more competitive. So we're looking at the data from various sources, and looking at how that impacts upon the civil service."

The details are expected to be announced in April.

Gng to bed at 12am is considered a luxury to me. Haiz. I was really very tired last night. Since i was dozing off while studying,i might as well go to bed right? Obviously the brain could not function properly when i was dozing off,and so watever that i was studying would not enter my brain,then it would be better to just go and zzz la. haha. And i woke up at 9am jus now. Wow! 9hrs of sleep. And im so alert now. Therefore,i think i shall stop blogging and start mugging. Okie,i think i plan to mug the whole afternoon today. 35 days to the exams. Woah!

I've been giving tuition for 5 yrs,and throughout these yrs,i haf never ever complained to my tutees' parents abt them. Yes,i've threatened them that i would complain to their parents on what they have done badly,but in the end i did not complain. I merely threatened. However,i broke my own record today. Jus now,i showed tutee no 3's mother the English homework that i had given him on Sat and complained to his mum. Noe wat he did? He claimed that he did not know how to do the comprehension,so he left blanks and on top of that,he doodled on the paper. Wat the hell. U dunno how to do,u can jus leave it blank. No need to tu2 ya1 right????? Wat's the problem wif him? And as he said that,he even showed me the paper in a happy and full-of-righteousness manner. He must be thinking,by doodling on the homework that I gave him,I would be angry. I tell ya,im not angry. For wat? After all,it's him who's on the losing end if he doesnt do his work. I haf taught him,i have done wat i should,ultimately it's the student himself who's benefitting or losing. FINE,he wants to doodle his homework,make it as messy as possible,i will just continue to print more for him to do. One day he will get sick of doodling. But anyway,that's not the point im trying to emphasize. Back to the story. So,after he told me he has made a mess out of the paper,i took it back,put it aside and kept quiet. Then i continued to teach him. At the end of the day,i showed his mum the paper and started to complain. His mum saw it and scolded the boy,who was keeping quiet and dared not look at his mum. Hahaha. Now who has the last laugh?

This tutee no 3 is really a pain in the neck;out of the 4 kids,he's the laziest,most mischievous,ill-mannered and hyperactive kid. Ironically,he's the 2nd smartest. :/ (Is it true that smart kids are lazier??? i dunno. i shall do a research on that. i often hear ppl say,懒惰的人，通常都是聪明的。) I strongly believe he has hyperactivity disorder. Man,save me from his clutches!

Juz came back from temple tour. So tired. Only slept 6hrs last night. FYI,i need 8hrs of sleep in order to stay alert and fresh. Anyway,this yr's temple tour ended quite late. For the past N yrs(i cant rem which yr i started going on temple tour wif my mom but,i think mayb >10 yrs liao),i've been visiting many temples to pray wif my mom. We do it twice a year---one at the end of the year and another at the beginning of the year. Basically our tour starts at 9am and then we proceed to abt 5 temples to pray. Includes lunch as well. Hmmm....every yr the tour will end by 3pm but in recent yrs,it ended ard 4pm and this yr is the latest --- 5pm. Kept falling asleep in the bus. 2 things i like abt temple tour are that firstly,i can pray a lot(it makes me feel at ease)and secondly,the long journey is a good time for me to listen to my mp3,looking at the scenery outside the bus and relaxing at the same time. I love long bus journeys. Can take the time to admire the beauty of our country and also think abt a lot of things. Why is it a long bus journey? That's coz we go to many temples in the east,west or central. Usually we start from the eastern side,so from my hse to the eastern side,the bus will travel on the ECP and so tada! I get a long bus journey! =D

Heh....i dunno wat to blog le. Eyes very tired,think i better catch some beauty sleep.

Hmm,i got back my Sociology quiz results today. Haha. I flunk the MCQ section - 6/15 but i've scored 1 B+, 2 Bs and a C+ for the 4 short-essay qns. Kinda SHOCKED. Coz i thot i wrote very little for the essay qns. And i was basically repeating myself? LOL. Anyway,it would be great if these grades belong to my 2 core modules. Hmm....shall work towards that. Gif me some support dearies!

And oh,did i mention i scored 27/50 for my Psychology test? Haha. I LOVE PSYCHOLOGY,but apparently,i could not bring myself to study hard for the test. OOPS. *hum-dum myself* But,i passed it,didnt I? LOL.

Some girls jus like to act cute. Ewwww. And i cant stand such girls. If u wan to act cute,at least do it privately la. Like,wif ur bf or family or close frens. Dun do it in public leh. For eg,in the class.

This morning,a gal in my class(dunno which yr she is in,mayb is a freshie)was acting cute. Her voice is like that of the Taiwan model-cum-actress,Lin Zhiling. Very sugary-sweet that kind. oops,no offence if ur voice is like that. Ok,having such a voice is not her fault;she's born wif that kind of sweet voice. But,dun act cute can? The sweet voice alr makes me go "eeewwww" and wat's worse is that she has to act cute????? OMG. U noe wat she was saying jus now? Well,we had a break during our 2 hr long tutorial and during the break,she was like,having a show-and-tell session in front of her grpmates and tutor. And she spoke so loud lo. She jus bought a dunno-wat-soft-toy ytd and she was telling them abt it.

She(in her sweetest voice ever):"I also dunno wat this creature is. I find it cute. Everytime i look at it,i will smile. The moment I saw it,i knew it should be mine so i bought it." (The last 2 sentences made me go =.=||| )

Ewwww....it's a torture to my ears to hear her speak and she had to act/behave childish somemore?????

Ahh....There was also another incident which made her seem very annoying to me. Shant elaborate anymore. Chills run down my spine everytime i think of wat she said/did.

Tremors felt in Singapore after quake rocks Sumatra

Singapore's Meteorological Services Division said an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter Scale struck Padang, Indonesia at about 11.50am on Tuesday.

The epicentre was 50 kilometres north-northeast of Padang, on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia and some 430 kilometres south-west of Singapore.

Tremors were also felt in many parts of Singapore.

Callers to the MediaCorp News Hotline said they felt tremors in areas such as Beach Road, Jalan Besar, Robinson Road, Shunfu and Toa Payoh.

Some buildings, like the Concourse at Beach Road, Capital Square and Centennial Tower in the city, and even Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Clementi, were evacuated.

Witnesses said several tall buildings in the central business district swayed slightly.

Nope,i did not feel the tremors. My fren did. According to her,the tremors were so great that she felt giddy. Aiya,i haf NEVER felt the quake tremors before. Due to the fact that i lived in a housing estate that's built on solid rock. =)

Anyway,i got a shock of my life jus now. When i was having lunch at the hawker centre near my hse wif my mom,i saw a commotion nearby. Oh my god!!!!! There was an old woman whose right side of the head was BLEEDING PROFUSELY. OMG!!!!! There was really A LOT of blood. The right side of her blouse(in the front)was totally drenched wif her blood. My mom went over to check it out,to see if the old woman is under her charge. (My mom is in the social work line,caring for the elders,btw) Ok,she knew the old woman but she's not under my mom though. I gave an "EEE..." sound when my mom came back & told me how drenched wif blood the old woman was. =X But when i saw the old woman wif my own eyes,i was really :O at the sight. The poor old woman was sitting on the chair,looking numb & lost. A paramedic was stopping the blood flow wif a towel. Poor ah po. Dunno how she got injured. A hawker witnessed the incident said the old woman & another ah soh dunno-how bumped into each other and then the old woman knocked against sth,thus injuring her head. Oh dear,it's really a lot of blood. Muz be a very bad knock. I pray that the old woman will be alright. Buddha bless her. And i also wonder why nobody called the ambulance. The old woman lost a lot of blood,the consequences can be disastrous! Yet only a few paramedics came only. Quick sent her to hospital mah. Alamak.

Tutee no 1 scored 60++ for her English,Maths and Science each. Only for Chinese did she get 83%. -.- And 83% is not that good. A only. Her Chinese is A* standard and she got A? Ahh~~~~ I have alr told her ytd that i will give her TONS of assignments to do for the March hols which starts this Sat. She promised me that she will work harder to get >250 for PSLE. Let's see whether she will keep her promise or not. *fingers crossed*

And tutee no 2 scored 19.5/50 for his English. Although i noe he's naturally weak in English,but still,it's still a lil bit upsetting to see him fail his CA1 English. He has been failing/passing-by-borderline English since p1 but he managed to score 67% for SA2 last yr;suddenly his English grade dropped so much again this time. And he noe it's bad la. He gave me a silly-and-bu hao yi si smile everytime i looked at him last night. I bet he didnt tell his mom that he failed English coz his mom only complained that he scored 29/50 for his Maths. I think she doesnt noe her son failed English again. And i oso told him that he will be doing a lot of catching up next wk during the hols. He went "HAH!!!" No choice,sweetie.

Ahh~ i LOVE buying assessment books for my tuition kids. And i will get to do that once again. BINGO!

And of course,do more but learn little wont work. Hmm,i muz find many more interesting ways to teach them liao.

This is gng to get so challenging.

Im so tired now. Was dozing off during tutorial jus now. Oops. But i noe wat the tutor was gng thru la. Hoho. In sch's com lab now,typing away here. Man,i need a bed. ZZZZZ.

Oh boy,i miss my mom too. She's at home resting. She's also very tired recently. *prays*

My frens came to my hse for steamboat jus now. And then we had fun playing Poker cards. Heart Attack & Blackjack. Im so stuuupidddddddd la. Forgot how to play Blackjack le,and so made a lot of mistakes. LOL. My frens then had to teach me. Aiyo. Shall update & post pics here next time. Very very tired.

CNY ending le. In less than 23hrs. :( I want it to stay forever.

My Pri 6 tutee scored 68% for her CA1 Maths. o.O It's time for me to hit the bookstores & get her TONS of practice papers from now onwards.

Wat's the purpose of mugging only one wk before the exams? *shakes head*

I dun even mug. Ha. That's why i failed. Im worse. LOL.

Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy,enough said. 3 days left to gng back to sch. And 46 days left to 1st exam paper.

Wow! Time flies! It's alr March le. And just last night my mom had to remind me this - "Tml March le,so that means your exams start next mth." Heh. So fast right? Im gng to take exams AGAIN. Oh well. I hope it comes faster. So that i can get it over and done wif.

Anyway,when i went for tuition last night,Tutee No 1 said that she dreamt of me & my BF. *gasp* Aiyo,zhen1 shi4 huang2 shang4 bu4 ji2,tai4 jian4 ji2. She's like,so desperate to see me attached la. Alamak. And she keeps telling me to remember to invite her to my wedding. Hmmm....why do so many ppl wanna come to my wedding? Oh well. I shall invite them. More angbaos/gifts. LOL. Ok,back to her dream. Then my tutee said that in her dream,she saw my bf & i and that my bf is quite shuai4. =D AIYA!!!!! She shld not tell me wat her dream was abt la! One shld not reveal good dreams,else they wont come true. Only bad dreams then one can reveal.

Well,it's just a silly dream of hers la. I just listen & dun take it to heart.

Oh! My tutee no 2 got back his Chinese CA1 paper. Well,he didnt bring it back;just saw his marks only. His Chinese teacher is so efficient. Chinese CA1 was on Tues and his teacher was able to return them the papers on Wed. FAST. He was so cheeky and happy when he asked me to guess his mark. At first he lied to me that he scored 52/100 but I didnt believe him coz he told me "very good" after i asked him how was Chinese paper that day. And so i said i dun believe u got 52. He asked me to guess. -_-||| Finally,after some guessing,he said he scored 75. Yeah! Not bad for him. Satisfied wif 75 le. He's not academically inclined,rem? That he can score 75 is alr an achievement. I hope the rest of his subjects will be ok as well. =)

As for my tutee no 1,haiz. She said English was not very good;she could not finish Chinese paper;Maths was not good too. Oh my oh my! I'm gonna gif her more & more & more work to do after the CAs. She has to buck up la. 7 mths to PSLE only. Oh no.
