Happy Teachers Day!
To any teacher who's reading my blog,and of course,to myself. Haha.
Had ACES DAY exercise and student-versus-teacher frisbee competition in school today. I had not exercised and hence perspired so much for AGES! Gosh,i was panting and perspiring like crazy after the Frisbee game. First time so "active" after JC PE days. LOL.
And then there was concert. Some of us felt so "extra" in the skit. Nevertheless,i enjoyed it very much. I realise that most of my colleagues can act well. Ha. And the Principal praised us! He said that our Teachers Day skit is better than last yr's one. OOPS. Sorry to the teachers who performed last yr.
And i received a T-day gift from some girls who are under me for D&T. They are so sweet can! *beams*
Finally,there was also my long-awaited High Tea Cruise. Hmm,due to certain reasons,i wasn't as happy as i wanted to be.....Oh well. I enjoyed the cruise anyway. It was the Cheng Ho Watertours Cruise. Enjoyed chatting with my colleagues and visiting Kusu Island. I like the island! Cannot remember too much of the island as the last time i went there was like,when i was still in primary school? Ha. It's so quiet there at this period of the year,and it is this quietness that makes it appealing to me. Woo~
Shall post the photos some other day. Very tired.
Wkends again. And start of 1 week break. Argh.

Firstly,let me say this to a long-time friend of mine:

Anyway.
One more day of lessons tomorrow and i'll be "enjoying" my 1 week break this Fri onwards. COOL! High tea cruise! I am sorry that i keep repeating this; that's cause i cannot contain my excitement! Ahaha.

Terribly,utterly and extremely disappointed with Tutee no 1.
English Paper 2 Booklet B - 33 / 65. Just scraped through.
Science - From 82% for SA1 to 57% for Prelims.
Ok,grades aren't exactly the ones that cause the disappointment;rather,it's her attitude.
These are what I've observed myself(with my own eyes) and what others(Tutee's aunt and maid) told me:
-She watched TV and studied/did homework simultaneously.
-She kept talking on her HP/smsing friends when she was supposed to be studying.
-She did homework at the last minute.
-She went out to TBP(for what? Just hanging out with friends,i suppose.)every week before the exams.
NOW,tell me. HOW ON EARTH IS SHE GOING TO ACHIEVE GOOD GRADES LIKE THAT?
If she had been studying hard all along AND conscientiously AND concentrating on nothing but studies,and she still scored such grades,then I have nothing to say. BUT,the thing is,she is NOT putting in effort! I started nagging at her FOUR weeks before the Prelims started,what telling her not to keep using the HP and watching TV and to pay attention during tuition. U think she took it to heart? NO.
Haiz.
I am too dismayed to say anything.
I am not being biased,but at least her brother is doing fine. Although Tutee no 2 still failed his English and Maths,at least he improved from 30+ to the current 40+ marks now. I can SEE some improvement,u get what i mean? Do i see improvement in Tutee no 1? NO. NO. NO. It's D.E.T.E.R.I.O.R.A.T.I.O.N.
Anyway.
I really need to instil some confidence in Tutee no 2. He's improving but he lacks the confidence to do so. He thinks he cannot do it but i know he can. How can i help him leh? *ponders*
3 more days to High Tea Cruise. Yeah!
But there's ACES workout in the morning. DUH!

Surprise! I am not supposed to be blogging at this time of the day,u know. I shld be having tuition. Haiz. What to do? Now,i officially declare that 5 out of 5 of my tutees have fallen sick. I went to teach Tutee no 1 jus now. She was still fit for tuition la,but her mum brought her brother(Tutee no 2) to the clinic,so ya. That's why i am back home so..........early. Didnt teach her brother.
Anyway.
I am feeling not so happy today. Don't ask me why. I also don't know.
And i am VERY tired today. My eyes have been feeling heavy ever since this morning.
So ya.

I think i am falling sick soon. Ever since Friday night,i have been losing my appetite and my throat feels funny. Though i am hungry,i cannot finish my food. I would eat halfway and felt very full already. Argh! I don't wanna fall sick now. NO!!! I must have caught the sick germs from 3 out of 5 of my tutees. Grrr.
It's the last wk of Term 3 this coming week.
Should i feel excited or what?

Just came back from a 2 hr 50 mins tuition session with Tutee no 1 and 2. It was extended by another 20 mins as I had to go through a lot of stuff with them today. Tomorrow is Tutee no 1's FIRST Preliminary Exam - English and her brother is having his CA2 as well. I had to go through Grammar and Vocab with them and i tell ya,it's such a difficult task. And hence more time is needed. Well,i hope Tutee no 1 can score more than 70% for her English and as for her brother,i am contented so long as he can pass. Or does not fail too badly. Ha.
Anyway.
For the past few days,I have been thinking about 2 matters. And I even dreamt of one of them. Haha. Hmm,i don't know if the one that i dreamt about will become true or not;I prefer to let nature run its own course. It's still early anyway. As for the 2nd matter,it's making me terribly worried. I have to keep praying.
12 more days to the last day of Term 3 and hooray! It happens to be Teachers' Day Eve! Lalalalala. And ya know,Teachers Day is the First Day of the one-week break! =D

Anyway,i was so HAPPY yesterday!
Coz i got my first official salary! (Tuition pay cannot be counted) And i gave Mum a significant amount of it! Ha. Pls do NOT ask me to give ya a treat this month,as yours truly is SERIOUSLY broke. I have been spending A LOT even before i got my salary. So yeah~ no treats ar. I even owe my mum A LOT of money for my camera.
Now I cannot wait for Sept to come! One-week school holiday + next mth's pay! Hahahahaha.

Wow wow wow.
I went up to the uppermost storey(30th) of my block to catch the NDP fireworks. I went up there 5 mins before the fireworks started and boy! There were alr so many fellow residents crowding the small common corridor to catch the fireworks. But anyway,i still managed to grab a small but good spot. =D

And oh,i caught our Singapore flag on camera again. This time it was for the real NDP ok! Not rehearsing anymore wor!

The kids don't listen to my instructions at all.
But,never mind. They are not my classes. Haha. I only went to relief-teach them. *phew*
I am so looking forward to next week!!! --> 3 day week(actually 2 only cause there is only National Day celebration and NO lessons)and and and.......*drum-roll*
It is Pay Day next week!!!!! Yeah! $_$
And oh,i am invigilating the O-level exams come October. Yeah! =D
